Thanks Amy, I really enjoyed that. It is storming here and that site brought the sunshine in! My favorite was Bucyrus. I love the depth given and the fact that it looked so real.

If any of you look close,...In the section about barns there is alot of Harley Warrick's work here,....Harley was quite a character dubbed the "Last of the Barn Painters". Back during Lady Bird Johnson's effort to beautify america and outlaw all the roadside signage on federal highways he testified before congress or the senate one,and got a federal variance for his and all barn signs. If anyone ever put the nomer "Wall Dog" in the public's mind it was the late Mr Harley Warrick.

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/viewtopic.php?TopicID=6604 Hope this brings some of the mural work in Bucyrus, Ohio. The work can be also seen at murals, Bucyrus Ohio in the search window. There are more and these pictures don't do it justice, as my dog barked at the dog in the pic. (Pic starts at brick line on ground where it changes colors, as the detail in the windows back into the horizon have shadows even on their faces in the tiny windows! You would not believe the detail.

If you go to the Ohio bicentennial barn site you will be looking at work done by Scott Hagan. Scott will be doing a seminar thsi summer at LetterRip on Rt. 66. Scott is a newbie to the letterheads. He knew Harley Warwick and he said Harley helped him get started. Just thought if you would like to see & hear more about his murals and actually work beside him.....here's your chance. We have an interesting line up of seminar and project leaders.... www.letterrip.org

wow! and check out the Portsmouth Flood Wall link at the top of the page. Awesome stuff, especially the motor cycle club, and the "window on the world". You talk about a lot of hours of work! whew! All the Murals were done by Robert Dafford and if you click on the "river side of floodwall" link it was done by Scott Hagan! Cool post Amy, Thanks! And yes Jane (school teacher) HA, they misspelled Scotts name on their site.
