A customer brougt in a piece of plastic with his logo. He wants the same kind of plastic for another sign to have a new service listed on it. I only need 9 3/4" X 47". It is clear, and yet a texture on one side, smooth on the other, a frosted look, not crystal clear. Roughly 1/16th" thick. Plenty flexible enough to roll up for use as a display header when needed. Hopefully some heads out there may have the same thing. Please contact if you have some you can sell me or send me to a distributor. Don't think I'll ever use this stuff again so I'd like to buy this off scraps or stock anyone might have.

Sounds like the thick plastic used as a barrier for doors left open, but requiring it being closed for AC purposes. Industrial supply might be able to let you know if it's printable.

What your looking for is Lexan. I used to use quite a bit for tradeshow graphics at one of the shops I worked for. We got ours from a local screen printer who used it all the time. You may want to check with your local screen printers. LexEdge is a thinner version of the same and would probably work in a pinch, ideally I would try to find the real deal.

Check with a plastics supplier for thin Polystyrene. It is fairly cheap for a whole 4x8 sheet. I have used thin white for displays(like they use to velcro on to cloth walls) although I don't know about clear. It surely comes in clear ,too. You can cut it with a utility knife.

It's .020 Lexan. It comes in rolls about 52" wide by however long you need. Graphics go subsurface and are usually backed up with One Shot, then a layer of white intermediate. Makes a great header, very durable and lightweight. Keep in mind when pricing that they do take some time, since everything has got to be kept very clean, especially with lighter backgrounds. A good idea is to Crystal Clear the graphic before backing up to prevent any bleeding between layers. You can get the stuff through any plastics vendor and almost any big sign supply house. There's also a laminate version of it for digital graphics...
