Hi guys! I have a J.D. Byrider dealer wanting me to do graphics on a trailer for him. He gave me a sheet with camera ready art on it. Anybody know if its possible to get .eps files from companies or is camera ready art the norm & you scan it? I know it's a stupid question....I'm still pretty new at this! Any help greatly appreciated.

There are numerous EPS graphic files for auto graphics available. VECTOR is one that I use, but there are tons of others. Whatever is scan-able can be converted from bitmap to vector format with most programs used by the sign industry. Your question takes a ton of information to answer
in a satisfactory way. If you're "printing" graphics, then you're in a who,le other world that's similar to what I just ineptly explained.....the difference being that the output format is usually a combo of bitmap and vector. The learning curve in creating some of this stuff is scary, to say the least....but.....you gotta start somewhere, like we all did.

Yes it is possible to get eps files from companies ... if they have them.
Now-a-days "camera ready" pretty much means scannable ... we got two rooms of one graphics camera with a few years of dust on it to prove it.
If it's a bigger company they probably have a file ... if your working through the dealer the be thankful ya got more than a business card or a t-shirt from last years company picnic to work from [Wink]
