I need to find a product like colorcore. I'm bidding a job that requires the material to be recycled type 2 High Density Polyethylene.(Re H.D.P.E.). Signs & posts. The signs will be cnc routed, 2 color. I don't beleive Colorcore is made of recycled plastic. Bob Stephens, maybe you know of a product. The person who made the spec sheet for the bid aquired his info from this company:http://www.greatlakesspecialty.com/
Is there another product like Colorcore? What are some mfg names? Recycled plastic posts? Any help would be appreciated.

Tom sorry I dont have any specific information regarding recycled plastics. I do have another source besides the colorcore material. Its called polycarve manufactured by Compression Polyemers Co.

Years ago there was a building product that looked like 2x4's made from recycled plastic but I never tried it out on any signs.

Only suggestion I have is do a search for it on google and see what you come up with.

Thanks Bob
I'll check that co. out. I did a search & found recycled posts but no laminate sheets. This will be the first time we've used Colorcore. The guy I sub my cnc jobs to sais it should be no problem,(I showed him a sample of Colorcore). Is there anything I should watch out for, does it route easy like the brochure sais?

I have routed both color core and a material that comes in 2 x 8 that is recycled plastic used for decking. I forgot the mfg. name for the material. Both routed well with no problems.

Diane
I havn't ordered the Colorcore yet. But, the company is called King Plastic Corp.- No. Port FL. 941-493-5502. You can call them for a brochure. Also, they have a web, sight www.kingplastic.com. If I win the bid, I'll probably order the Polycarve product since I've found they have a distributor right here in town. Shipping is a big issue with either since they weigh 80lb @. Hope this helps Diane & thanks to the others for the response!
