Shep and I have been in the works with bringing one of his woodgraining seminars to Florida. He will be in our sunny state for the Ft. Myer's meet, where he will be doing a pictorial demo, ... he has agreed to put together some time and effort in a woodgraining seminar in the Tampa Bay Area.
I've put together a page outlining some of the details. We will need at least 12 folks to make this happen, but would also need to limit our participants to 15. (maybe 20 MAX)
I had emailed just a few folks about it and already have a list of folks who are coming to date, and also the ones that are still on the fence.
YES! ... Janette Balogh Steve Shortreed Dennis Goddard Mathew Brodus George Perkins
MAYBE ... Amy Brown Joe Endicott Jean Shimp Bob Stephens
I would like to extend an invitation now to all of you who would like to participate in this opportunity. It will take place in St. Petersburg Florida the day before the Ft. Myer's Sandcastle meet.
Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm excited about learning Shep's secrets!

The only one I have scheduled, at this time, this year is at my Studio/Shop in Mt Airy NC April 5
For you it would be a lot closer than Fla.

I know I'm abit delayed in announcing this. I had contacted some in Florida, to get a feel for how well it would be recieved and how feasable it would be.
I've had some computer problems recently too. Between that and tax season, it's been chaos around here. Thus my delay in getting this page together sooner.
I'm scheduling it right around the time of the SandCastle meet, in hopes that some will want to take an extra day off for it, and include it in their trip.
Cold drinks will also be provided for the seminar. I'm making two types of lasagna. One real meaty, and my veggie version. Served with a robust salad, and hot bread! hahahaa ... I'm working the stomach angle here.
Weather is great here too! What a way to learn some great new skills!

For those of you who are not familiar with Shep's woodgraining styles, I thought I'd put together this little sample page to view. The photos do not do it justice!
Also, Shep emailed me to stress here that he WILL NOT be doing a Woodgrain Demo at the Sand Castle Meet...that he will be doing a Painting Demo of a Landscape only........"Bob Ross" Style........
He also states that for the price of the Woodgrain Class, each student should be able to recoupe the cost of the class with only one job sold... For anyone that wants references for those who have already taken his class, contact Shep, and he'll forward their contact info on to you.

Ryan, cool! I'm puttin' you on the "yes" list! I'm looking forward to meeting you!
I've got a few more that are also VERY close to that "yes" list.
I know it may feel like a big chunk of change, especially around tax time. Remember that it's a good investment in your arsonal of skills, and heck, we'll have some fun too!
Then it's off to more fun at the SandCastle meet! Nettie

<br> I attended the class this weekend in NC and I have to say that it was incredible. The pictures really do not do justice to the finished product, it is DRAMATIC. When I showed the panel to a couple of associates, I got 3 orders on the spot. More than paid for the class. Do Not miss an opportunity to attend if you can, you will not regret it. Thank you Shep and if I can say, you don’t charge enough for sharing this technique.
