Yep, I got it too, and promptly deleted it. The spelling and command of the english language were so poor ...it reminded me of instruction manuals you get with foreign(far east) made equipment. That stuff can get pretty hard to understand too.

I guess people are just looking at making a quick buck these days. If they're going to put an effort into something, why not do it right?
I had someone sending me e-mails advertising their web design service. I took a look at their website, half the links didn't work properly and there were spelling and grammar mistakes everywhere! I actually e-mailed them back saying how I would never consider using them because of all this and asked why they would put such an effort into this e-mail marketing program but not actually take the time to make sure everything was perfect before implementing it. They actually replied asking if I'd let them know where all their mistakes were so that they could fix them. I don't think they ever did change anything.

I got the same email. I was just curious enough to check out the link to VIP Pro. Navigating this, I came across a page that referenced a review article in May 2001 Signs of the Times, page 68. Sign MAX Enterprises is the company featured in the Cas/Tech review. It seems that their Web site is no longer there. They were selling a product called WinPCSIGN. Perhaps they went belly up in the sign making software business and are trying to recoup some of their losses by selling the logo's they created.

AHA!!!! I didn't get the e-mail but I know the company you are refering to. They are a Quebec, Canada based company that did or does develop sign cutting software. I bought my first signmaking program from them..a DOS based program that worked nicely with CorelDraw 2!!! Long time ago!!!
Haven't heard about them in many years, but they were/are a legitimate business and I have the floppy disks and dongle to prove it!!!

Mark..Not to insult my French speaking fellow Canadians but I am assuming that the e-mail and even the silly graphic are translations using one of those online "transation" programs!!!

Thanks for adding some perspective to this Elaine. Maybe this thread will wake them up a little bit? They are obviously aware of this board, which points out the other bad move of collecting e-mail addresses from residents without even being a merchant.
