Like they say,
If You Stripe it, They Will Come.

The 10th annual Cavalcade of Cars show in Hamburg, NY, hosted the first annual "Brotherhood of the Burning Brush" charity jam.

A dozen guys striped and lettered anything and everything people could carry into the show, and raised $3,000.00 for Buffalo's Center for Handicapped Children.

Our host, show promoter Andy Sackett, and his staff couldn't have been more accomdating and congenial.

Paint pushers and order takers that worked the show were:

Myself and my wife, Paulette
Paul, Margaret and Nathan Straus
"Ron-D-Voo" Lasker
Peter Gunn
Chris and Cheryl Zelasko
Bob and Ann Timmerman
Clint Kydell
Tomar
Mike Van der Voet
Bruce and Dana Bowers
Terry Buczak
Ron Brent

Thanks also to Junior and Glenda Sammet for helping run the table, and a BIIIIG special thanks to Chuck "Amuck" Leighton and his lovely wife Janine for driving 6 hours from Michigan to keep us in line and run the auction.

Everyone ate well, experimented in sleep deprivation, had fun, we all learned a few thing from and about each other, (who knew Zelasko could do pinstriped flames that well AND fast!?), and it was for a good cause.

And let's not forget one of the greatest communities of car and bike people...Western New Yorkers! I'm ready for next year already.

Keep on keepin on,

 -

Don't count me in on it!! I didn't do anything but watch and admire everyone's work.

Maybe next time I will have had some more re-acquaintence time with those sticks with hair that you guys were using... and actually do something productive!

It was great to meet everyone. I really REALLY miss the comraderie. Sure was fun smelling the paint smells... lots more than what I was smelling at work this morning... [Roll Eyes]
