I just finished up a job here that played havoc with my vinyl application squeegee stock. After a short online search, I came across the website of the company that manufactures the squeegees for 3M, Avery, Gerber, etc. The great thing about this find is that they will sell to anyone.
I had questions that couldn’t be answered by the information available at the website so I emailed them. A company representative called me and we talked squeegees for about a half hour. He has a sample set he sends out of all the types they manufacture. Mine is on the way. Everything from Teflon for glue application to 12” wide nylon for large format graphic installation.
I was impressed with the pricing. I ordered a 100 pack of 4” Nylon squeegees yesterday for $90.00. $90.00 sounds like a lot to spend on squeegees but considering that the equivalent squeegee available on the market is 3M’s PA-1 gold at an average online cost of $3.50 each, I feel I got a good deal.

Some people find it hard to believe when I tell them I have been using the same squeegee for over 10 years. It was distributed by an Aus. company and it had their name and "Platinum" stamped on it which was a sendup of 3M's Gold. A lot of signies don't realize that you can sharpen the edges in the trough on the rounded part of the squeegee. I don't know what my blue (darker than 3M) squeegee is made of but it still doesn't look like wearing out.

anyone know a contact for the compressed felt squeegees? those work well for us when installing window graphics and we need a new supplier.
and for those using 3M Comply for (very) large format check out their newer squeegee. it's about 12" wide, has a large grip handle and makes for shorter time on larger installs.
