Hello letterheads, It's been awhile since I have been around here. Had to set up a new account(forget what it used to be). anyway...
I just got a 310s printer. I am trying to print from corel 9, with no luck at all. It will print a test page just fine, but when I send a file to it from corel it acts like it is printing, pulls the vinyl in, runs it thru, but nothing is printed on the vinyl. I am using the 3 color resin ribbon now (it's all I have). After it thinks prints the yellow panel and wants to pull the vinyl back through into the tray, it jamms up inside the printer. the guy I got it from had used it for a couple of years without any problems at all. I'm sure I am doing something wrong, but I need some help trying to figure it out. the pc is running win98. thanks for the help...

Trevor, Make sure you are using the correct side of the ribbon, take a piece of masking tape and stick to both sides of the ribbon, the side that the color comes off with the tape faces the vinyl.

Hi Trevor, Those things are really picky. First make sure your machine is clean. They don't like any kind of dust in them at all.
You say it printed a test print. Did it print all colors? They make several different ribbons including single colored ones. Is your's a 3 color ribbon?
In the properties tab of the print folder use the Panel 3 color resin ribbon setting.
There are dip switches in the back of the machine. Check your book to see they are set correctly for the ribbon you're using.
The sequence of the 2 lights blinking on the front panel are supposed to give you a clue to what the printer needs when it quits. At times I'll use several panels of the ribbon just getting it all set up correctly.
If it prints, pulls it back in to print the next color and is getting hung it just sounds like some dust is in there.
Hope this helps and I hope you got a book with it.
I'm adding this part. I've had problems with feeding if a corner of the vinyl is dog eared. Sometimes just rotating the vinyl the the other end is the fix.
The vinyl for the machine should have the vinyl cut away about 1/2" on both ends with just the backing paper showing so if you're making your own vinyl try doing this. I use B/A3 Supersize.
