There is no limit to what I would do to collect. I repoed a sign from Kraft foods(big tabacco) once.... talk about deep pockets! No witnesses no evidence, I was Fedex'ed a check with grievance bonus 2 days later and a request that read... "if you should happen to 'find' our sign would you please return it".

Another "Big Company" owed me $10k I visited the owner at his mistresses house 2 evenings in a row [Embarrassed] . I got cash and a bonus. Even with a deposit on these jobs the scuzziest of them will try to screw ya' but I still have a 99% collections rate and a reputation that makes getting paid a lot easier these days. Trying the legal route lead me to handling it my way, nothing more frustrating than the justice system when trying to collect.

always get a deposit. at least you don't lose anything. now comes the important part...principle. If you ask me I'd go get my stuff. If it's vinyl graphics tell them they can keep the glue at no charge. If you were an electrician and you put their lights in you'd go get them wouldn't you? what's the difference? I guess it would depend on what kind of mood I was in too. these days they'd be lucky if I didn't take my vinyl back along with the sheetrock under it. good luck.
