What types of brushes do I need to letter the sides of a semi trailer? There will be 5'' wide stripes, a few large letters on thge sides (ranging from 2'' to 3'' strokes), and some smaller lettering on the back. Will a 1'' and 2'' cutter work for the large stuff and maybe some quills for the smaller stuff? I have #4, #6, and #8 quills but am thinking that it would be best to letter the really small stuff in vinyl. Or ...would it be best to use a plotter cut paint mask?
What is a "#24" brush? I have a scharff brush catalog. Where is the best place to get brushes?
Oh yea, some of the trailers are corrugated but this particular one is smooth with rivets. Thanks!

A plotter cut mask would probably be the best bet for the whole job, if you can cut it without having to splice it. Roll the letters along with the stripes. For hand lettering you would need some flats, like an inch or an inch and a half. A cutter is used for wall work, on the smooth surface of a trailer, it won't cut a clean enough edge. A #24 is a large quill, large for a quill but not the brush of choice for letters as big as what you are discribing.

sounds like some 2 inch masking tape and a 4" roller would work for the big stripes -- or get them cut from vinyl by one of the places that do that, such as Gregory. (its just a stripe)
