Janis is taking the day off today (meaning go find something you want to do and don't bother me please) After a few chores and a wonderful drive in the sunshine it left me the day to do something I wanted to do on my own.
I am in the middle of a good sized design project but was a bit stumped as to what direction to go. I had basic ideas and and a few specific pieces formulated but lacked the key element to tie it all together. My client has given me a great deal of freedom and I am determined to earn this trust with a cool project design. But this freedom and enthusiasm also stopped me from designing anything ordinary. It is like working on your own project. So it has been rattling around in my head without real progress for a couple of days.
I decided I would catalogue a few of my photographs while I mulled things over.(I have a huge box of prints not yet filed from projects and trips past) But I get very restless when I am in the middle of something without a ready solution and needd something to keep my hands and mind busy.
I didn't get 20 photos into the sorting project when I found a picture that sparked a wonderful theme for the entire adventure golf project I am currently designing.
The rest of the photos are now going to have to wait until the next time I am at a standstill. I am inspired and raring to go!
I love it when this happens!

The photo was taken a couple of years ago in the high desert in california and was just what I needed as a reference and inspiration for this west coast themed project. The balance of the project is a quaint fishing village surrounding this bay.

Beautiful as usual Dan. Still waiting for the word when your project will be complete. Really want to see it in person while visiting relatives in the area.
