My church would like to purchase a light box not unlike movie theatres use to show their posters. I'm told they call these 'One sheet frames' & that they are made with the light in front/side or they can be backlit. We have an HP 3500 and figured to do the posters ourselves. They would be in the box for a few weeks at most (indoors only), so I'm not sure that we would need anything special (translucent paper, special inks) for the task. I could use any info you folks may have about such a project, as well as sources for the box itself. As usual, limited budget, so we may be building our own boxes. As always, thanks a bunch folks.

The old theater here in town has carpenter built wood frames with cork on the back. The main thing is concealing the flo tubes so the poster is lit without your seeing the bulbs. Vic G

Talk to your HP rep. What your looking for is reverse print backlit media. My supplier sells the Optima brand. You print a reverse image with dye inks on what is the back side of the substrate. The dye penetrates and gives a beautiful gloss face with a totally protected image.
