I have a printing problem with CD9. When I put a stroke on text, sometimes the stroke prints all wacky, it doesn't touch the text and it looks like its just scribbled. It doesn't do it all the time which makes it frustrating. I print to a HP5000ps with 192mb of ram. I use Windows NT4 on a PIII with 500mb ram. We use a print server, a PIII with win2000.

I too am having problems printing to my HP5000. At the beginning of the year, I got a new computer, and Win2000 Professional. I have had lots of problems with the postscript drivers that run NT. It prints fine from PCL mode, but I have to use the Postscript features about 99% of the time. I have e-mailed some of tech-support, and I will see if I can round up some of the responses and fwd them to you, maybe there is an answer. I am to the point, that I am considering going back to WIN98, as I never had any print problems with it.

Windows NT lacks certain drivers for today's wide-format printers.

After a converstation with a techie from Wasatch, I upgraded for Windows NT to Windows 2000. That solved the problem.

I don't know if it will for you, but it is worth considering.

You didn't specify printer... I'll assume postscript

1. Make sure you are using service pack 2 for coreldraw 9,

2. If using postscript, ensure 'optimize for porability' is checked and not 'optimize for speed' in postscript driver settings

3. Uncheck 'download truetype fonts' in corel print driver

Thanks for responding, I appreciate it.
Mike O'brien - I'll check those settings tomorrow and see if it makes a difference.(I did specify the printer as PS)

Glenn, you make a good point that it might be time to upgrade OS.

Thanks again.
