Some time back, Crayola introduced several new colours into their pallatte of crayons. They held a contest among kids to name the new colours. One of the winning entries, was named " Dog tongue pink" by a little girl in grade 2. Don't you just wish that your customers could come up with colour names as descriptive as that little girl?
There are some colours that instantly set themselves in your mind's eye, and are readily identifiable, simply by hearing the name...Robin's Egg Blue is one. Here's a fun challenge. Come up with a colour name that matches the two previous examples for clarity, and instant recognition in the mind of the reader. We all deal daily with colours, so how descriptive can you be in identifying a colour? I look foreward to seeing some very creative names.

With all the imagination and experience that you heads have with colours, I thought that we'd have a huge palette of colours by now. Wedding Gown white is another possibility, or egg yolk yellow. Those of you that are inclined to bend an elbow occasionally may have a special affinity for re-cycled beer amber. Up here in Canada, that's a necessary ingredient for yellow snow yellow...a colour that you more Southern heads may not be familiar with. Keep them coming anyhow. We'll get a workable selection of colours yet.

Today, at the parking lot of the market, I noticed a oil spill on the asphalt. The rainbow like colors reminded me of that new 'Camealeon' auto paint. I then thought of a new name " Oil Slick Pearl"
