Hey Ticks,
I'd take some of that heat. It got to about 45f here today, cloudy and rainy. Supposed to be like that the next few days. We've had fair weather though the last few winters do we were due. I get along better in the heat than the cold but over 100f is a little warm.

Well, stay in the shade.

48 celcius is about 120f...now thats bloody hot...was supposed to get to 43c where I am today but fortunately it only got to 36...this heat is a real pain when you are trying to airbrush a van, luckily it is my van so I don't have a deadline to worry about.

man that aint hot.. Lake Havasu City, Arizona is HOT.. 120? please... =) Havasu can hold temps around 125-130 degrees Farenheit for weeks on end in the summer. The 100 degree temps there start in April and run til the end of October... I LOVE IT!

During the summer events like car shows, there are actually egg frying contests out on the sidewalks.. put a frying pan down and drop a few eggs in and see whose cooks the fastest. =)

The only place in the US that gets hotter is Death Valley, California, but it's only a couple degrees difference although the ground temperature is higher because it's completely flat there.

Well.....I retract my wishin' I was going to Bushie's meet.....I HATE, absolutly HATE hot weather. 16 years in Sacramento, where it gets up to 117 in July was enough to make me hate the place......
I love it here in Benicia, where we get the natural airconditioning off the straights every evening in the summer...where only 15 minutes away in Concord it could be 110, it will only be in the high 80s here.
I lived in South Lake Tahoe once, miss the fresh fallen snow...so pretty (well, at first, after 4 months of it I'd had enough)

I'll try for your winter when I do come over, by then Kooky will have her driver's license!
Stay cool, Ticks!!!!
Adrienne

My heart bleeds for you poor, overheated "DownUnders." If it gets too bad, please hop a plane for Fergus, Ontario. As you can see, we are in dire need of a few good snow shovellers.
