Sorry, I don't have a picture, but I think some of you will recognize this font by my description. It looks a lot like Cooper Black Italic, but the caps have a very thin swash that comes out to the left and loops around itself. I haven't seen it used much the last 10 years. Does anyone know the name? I can probably find it on some font site if I have the name. Thanks

Thanks Arthur, but it's not Candice. The swash is very thin, the rest of the letter is very bold, shaped almost exactly like Cooper.

Chuck, are you describing from memory? URW's Motta Femmina is a possibility but not really like Cooper. Only other vaguely Cooper look alikes that spring to mind are Souveneir, Windsor, Goudy Heavyface, but they don't have swashes, nor does Mike Steven's version of Cooper.

Looking forward to someone remembering it.

The swashes in Bookman are the same weght as the letters. Motter is different. I have a picture but I don't know how to post it. I painted this font on a sign long ago. I think I found it in a Letraset book. Thanks for looking

Hi, Chuck!

Maybe I'm too late but, is it Goudy Fancy?

I'm sure Warren must be correct, if not you could send the picture to me and I could post it up here.

Thanks very much, Arthur and the rest of you. I had no idea this was a member of the Goudy family. Whenever I have to look for a font, its not all wasted time, I always find a few good ones for future use. In this case we just needed to duplicate this on some new signs to be installed near the old one.
