Don't be too harsh on them. Levity has always been a part of the board, and they do know that legitimate answers will be mixed in too.

Everybody gets these kind of remarks to their questions. Have you ever been guilty of poking fun at someone for asking a seemingly simple question ( here on the BB or to the people you come face to face with everyday? ) You probably have, so you know it's a bad part of human nature.
It happens to me, ( and everyone else) and sometimes I get some e-mails that are real, well, they're pretty bad. But, I look for the answer I need and ignor the rest of the comments. Many times I figure the person posting to my qestions has had way too much to drink or has just come down from a drug high and needs to lash out at someone for no reason! Best advice is to just IGNOR IT!
Sometimes, it is the way we ask a question, or the way we include too much information when we ask a question that gets a strange mix of replies. And many think of this as "entertainment", so they crack a joke at the poster's expense, not realizing how much that can hurt someones feelings to the point of not sharing their insights in any future discussions.
Better get use to it, because this problem will never go away. It might be good to remember everybody that reads replies to the posts know who the real idiots are. We all keep track of the rude, trouble makers. They just make it hard for themselves. When they ask a qestion someday, it will be PAYBACK TIME!

just ignore the stupid answers and realize that some people can't understand that something that they know and take for granted may not necessarily be known by the rest of the world especially those that are just starting out the only dumb question is the one that is not asked and you get into trouble over and a mistake is not a mistake unless it can't be fixed.

I saw your posting on Pricing. I hope this is the one you are refering to. You had 2 good asnwers in it and the others are only tickling your ribs. Material mark up pricing is all about your area. Some place can place anytype of mark up on the marerials and sell them but if your local yocal competition is only putting 10% on top of it then how can you justify 50% to the customer. I myself work with a 35% mark up..My vinyls around here 3-M 220 series rounds around the $5.-6.50 per yard and I qoute $10. per yard to the customer. More if it reflective.. Some marterial can hold a higher mark up and others can't. Hope this helps.. And we all like to joke and kid and laugh with each other..It's part of this weird business we are in.....

Hey! I am one of those smart asses! I resemble that remark, I guess it was my upbringin' my father was smart ass, his father was a smart ass, and his father before him. There is and old family saying...."Joke ya if you can take a F@*<!" Just kidding this is a family Bullboard so let's stop talkin' about whos ass is smarter and who's taking what in stride. If you post a question that I know thw answer to I will try to refrain from the aged old family tradition.
