I try quite earnest right now, but I've been wondering a long time about my 4B. When I bought it used, it came with a "board" or something, that allowed it to be used with a computer (Mac?). I think it also required software called "Sign Post". I know everyone's going to tell me to buy such and such newer stuff, but that's not in the budget right now, this message is coming to you-uns from the hills of Tennessee. Also, I live kinda-like the Amish in other parts of my life, and it REALLY makes me appreciate all this modern "stuff", even an old 4B. An old copy of "Sign Post" would be great or any other tricks that might apply.
Thank you-uns very much.

To run on my(PC)Graphic Advantage program.
I needed....a LMK link card.
Visually being able to (see)your layout,BEFORE you send it to the cutter.
Has helped or IMPROVED my designing abilities.

Hope this helps

I'll Bump this topic in view again. to help this guy get some more tips. I'd suggest calling Gerber if the right answers don't surface here.
I've seen that LMK card mentioned often, so that may be the whole answer. Anyone got a used one for sale?

Yes, Doug, the lmk's run about 900 plus now. I got mine right as they had changed price, but Garston got me one for 295 or something, they aren't cheap. I don't know who is selling one, but it may be cheaper to buy a whole gerber 4b with a link and sell his existing gerber 4b since I don't think anyone is selling a link alone. Check out Garston, I think they are right across the street from Hyatts, but I could be wrong, or Ebay, you never know.
The software I have never heard of but I know Gerber's start at about 1200, or there about. That's all I know and I am very limited on knowledge when it comes to software.
