I'm trying to put better pages on my web site where I can put small thumbnails of my work.

I have tried to find the codeing to just have them lined up 4-5 across and down, but can't figure it out.

Will someone give me a sample of how to do this...I suppose it involves tables, I would appreiciate any help!

A:)

Hi Adrienne,

Here is an example on a web site I am working on right now: http://www.lkphoto.com/portfolio/people.html

If you like the layout of the images, just steal my HTML source. If you don't want to use the javascript... just exclude it.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Marty

you can also do the same thing by using PhotoShop. there's a utility in the newer versions (i think since version 5), that automates the creation of web pages. you just tell it how many pictures on a page.

in your case, 1 row with 4 "columns" (four pictures) and select the pictures, and Photoshop automatically scales them to thumbnails from the larger photos, and then puts it all into code, with links to the larger photo. when the page is posted, you have four thumbnails all lined up, and clicking on them opens a fresh page with the full size image.

pretty neat. it can do multiple pages that way.
