Do you know how many indiviual jobs you have accumulated over the years using your design software?

I just checked the properties of my CorelDraw Jobs Folder and discovered that over the years I have created 1,220 original designs. Some of them with hours of work involved. I know the real number is greater than that but its gives me an indication of what I have invested in learning to design and learning to use Corel.

If I devide that number by (365 days in the year) that means I would have created one design everyday for the past 3.34 years without a day off. Wonder what the value of that education is really worth?

Another measure of what I do with my time is my accumulated freefall time. On average every jump earns you approximately 60 seconds of freefall time. In 1,955 jumps my actual amassed time spent in freefall from skydiving is 26 hours, 41 minutes. What that means is if I jumped out of a plane I could fall at 120 mph for an entire day and another 2 hours and 41 minutes before having to open my parachute. Thats earning your wings the expensive way at about $20.00 a jump.

I wonder how much time I have spent in front of a television over my lifetime?

So what are your vices everyone?

LOL.... funny you Bob.
Well I am not as crazy as you, I would NEVER jump out of a plane. [Wink] But.....my friends really wonder about me, as I would rather spend Fri. and Sat. nites designing signs instead of going out! It is relaxing to design.

8 hours a day in Letterville x 365 days x 4 or 5 years = WAY TOO MUCH TIME!!!!!!

Time well wasted. [Smile]

I never thought of checking that but you made me curious so I just looked - 8705 files making taking 30 gigs of space. Time for that removable hard drive I think. For fun I, well I guess I work. OK its not that bad but it is 8PM and here I am. but my kids come out and "help" so that makes it more enjoyable. Why on earth would you jump out of a perfectly good airplane?
Hey Cheryl, the designing is the relaxing part then you have to figure out how to make that wonderful thing - thats when I say "what was I thinking?" And I think your friends should worry about you.

Yeah Yeah.....I know I am weird!!!
I mow the lawn when it doesn't really need mowing...just because the sun is out.
And yes I stay in and design instead of going out. Maybe this weekend I will be different.

so there. [Wink]

Gee, How many times have I heard my husband say to me "When are you coming to bed?". I'll be in the computor room working on "Original" designs till midnite.
Hey Cheryl, we're gonna have to have lunch someday. I am no longer a slave to Six Flags. Maybe I'll call you next week.

ok, I checked too. (& some of you thought you didn't have a life:) ) I have archive files on 20 zip discs, & additional archive files on 45 cd's & a few dvd's

All the zip files are duplicated on CD, & a dozen of the CD's are now duplicated on DVD's (the rest need backing up soon)

The 23,917 archived graphic files catalogued in my file-search software is about 30 gigs of data. They probably only represent about 10,000 unique files since my back-up methods have created duplicates & ocassionally triplicates.

Good question; when I get to work I'll count 'em up. Does this include those boxes and boxes of rolled-up patterns under the bench? Most of those were created using the custom-built Cameron Original Equipment BioSoftware Package, using the Human Brain 1956 Operating System, and outputted through the Five-Fingered Plotter. Slow, but highly reliable and with infinite upgradability.

I just created an archive file on the second HD, and the computer counted 11,304 original files starting in '93, I don't EVEN want to think about how many art files I have lost, missplaced, or the computer gremilins ate!
