Recently I conversed with Wayne Webb on spraying fillers onto HDU, and took his advice on getting a 2.2 m spray tip for my hvlp, which is just like his. What term for consistancy, would any of you spraying the stuff, use to describe it. I am thinking that if it orange peels a bit (like Wayne says it does), and is consistent all over the panel, then that texture might look good without further sanding to slick. Perhaps a glossy leathery look. Hopefully Wayne will chime in here with my answer, but I have posted, so some of the rest of you could learn a bit about it also. I realize that this is still going to take some trial and error, but need a reasonable starting point for consistancy. My plan is to trowel a flat coat into the pores, but leaving no trowel marks, before spraying.
