Wow.... that was painful. That damage could have been avoided with a good plan. We still like using heat lamps, (auto body heat tree) plastic edge to lift a starting point, and Rapid Remover to remove residue adhesive. I'd hate to have to explain to the boss why removing the pizza logos turned into an expensive repaint of most of the vehicle.
Was this vehicle brought to you like this from the customer?

WOW!!!!!!!! looks just like a 18 wheeler i redid last year. He called for a removal quote but opted to do it himself. Later, he brought it in any way all scrapped up and wanted to know if i could covor it up.
There was lots of residue left. He cuzzed everyword in da book when he saw it almost drip off using rapid remover.
Oh yes, i did sell him the 2/3's full sample bottle of rapid remover for 15 bux...

These are worth their weight in gold in our opinion. We've used heat guns when dad had the auto body business, but the heat tree radiates such a broad and consistand heat pattern, that you can easily get the decals to peel without over heating them and causing tearing. Plus it's faster as well because you're not having to alternate between holding a heat gun, and working the vinyl off the panel. Because of the dust, paint fumes, and chemicles associated with an auto body shop, torches were never a consideation, and I really frown on them in any enviornment ( ok.. it's the firefighter in me still. haha).
