Troy..There are quite a few font manufacturing progs available. But if you have CorelDraw you can do it with it.
I did a couple of fonts using Corel and it works fine but it is a VERY time consuming process...kerning is the thing.
But you are "retired" you have lots of time!!!!!

I use Fontographer, a bit pricey but is the best when doing your own font. I usually do the whole character set in Illustrator, then copy and paste each character into Fontogrphers character window, adjust the baseline and there you go, thats the bonehead way, there are advanced feature like kerning sets multple master etc. but I could type for days on the advanced stuff.
