In the past few years we have been building up an ADA wayfinding market.
We've been farming out the braille stuff and are now thinking about doing it in-house using a photopolymer system (we have most if equipment needed already)
I've been searching the net for a couple days for braille fonts and translation techniques ... but have come up with not much.

Anybody have experience with braille ... or photopolymers ... that could shed some light?

Hello Mark, this may be what you are looking for
http://www.duxburysystems.com/

Our first ADA system, early 90's consisted of the Duxbury translator, a braille font, and a braille punching device. You set up the text in Corel in English at a specified point size, then hit a hot key combination. The braille appeared below the english. This was printed out full size then placed in the braille tool as a punch template.

Sounds like all you need is the translator and a good print for your screen.

After you have researched what Duxbury has available now, be sure to come back and bring us up to date. Vic G

I don't know if it's new or not but duxbury has software that works specifically for signs ( in corel and GA and others)
Not much info on it though so I'll have to call 'em.

Thanks for the info
