wow...this is great, i woke up to about 18" of fresh powder and it's still coming down. i'm sittin in my lazy girl recliner with my new laptop sipping choc mint coffee, my goldens close by, my very vocal african grey babbling away...life is good. how come no one ever told me how cool these little notebooks are...sheeet, i can pretty much fit my whole life in a black briefcase and go anywhere. however, i may have to take the afternoon off and go snowboarding today or tomorrow. i hope everyone in the northeast is enjoying the snow storm! cheers!

How sweet it is!! We only got about a foot but added to what we had we have a real nice base. Now all we need is some more. hahaha
The roads are packed white, I feel like skiing down the street behind the truck. I feel like a kid again because we haven't had snow like this since I was a kid.
Now THIS is winter!!!!!!

That does sound perfect Karyn! We've got it pretty chilly here this morning, about 52F (okay, you can stop laughing now) Being a northerner originally, I am missing the white stuff.
We're having a relaxing, tinker around the house kinda day today. I'm making us some chili too. I'll trade ya some of that for some snow!

can ya hear my stomach growling from here?? chili sounds wonderful right about now! i'm starvin!
rob...nice layout btw on the portfolio board...real classey! i'm gonna do a little playin in the snow today...we have this long(900ft)curvey up hill driveway...well it's pretty cool when we have snow banks..cause you can sled down it and bounce off the snow banks around the corners...i use my stepsons little sled thingy...it's got runners and a steering wheel which controls the one ski out front. of course i'm about 100 pds too heavy for it, but that don't stop me...i fly down the driveway like a crazy woman...it flattens out before the last pitch so i don't go flyin into the road...wouldn't want to be road pizza. thank god we can't be seen from the road, i'm sure the neighbors would think i've got a few screws loose. it's still coming down!!! gotta go out and help with the snow removal...my husbands gone out to get the tractor started...that means i'll be snowblowing the walkways.
bring it on!!

Karyn, I also love a "nice" snow, although I do not do any snowboarding! I tried to ski once, never mind, it would take three pages to tell the details of the horror! Next month I will be ice racing cars on frozen lakes in New York State. I can't wait. Until then all I do for enjoyment in the snow is write my name in it!! Different fonts of course!!
Took this of my shop this morning.

I don't think we have quite 18" here but plan on enjoying it today... after I finish this coffee. Little sledding, little hot cocoa, little snowman, few angels, more cocoa ... nice

I'm going to the beach today with jetski and race buouys in tow.. takin a BBQ pit, some steaks, a couple sodas and some water to drink! gonna shred up some waves with my racing buddies and bask in the near 80 degree temps!
From my house I can see the snow atop the mountains surrounding us, and it doesn't look inviting to me at all!

Karen, I'm jealous. It was 29 here this morning. We don't get snow, so I went outside with my coffee this morning and pretended that the beautiful frost was snow!

Karyn, Well, gal, I'm really happy for you!
We had one snow so far and that was in November! Didn't last but a couple days. So lucky in one way, but this is uncanny for the Rockford, Illinois area. Sure, is nice not having to navigate on the roads with it. Just 60 miles east they got slammed nearer to Chicago and all of the eastern seaboard as you know. Hey, you're stealing our snow, lol. Honestly, we're supposed to get it over and over and it never comes. At least I can work outside and it still isn't freezing here, taking full advantage of it.
Sounds like the picture perfect time, Karyn, I would love to travel to it and then drive back here when it melts, oh well! Toasting a cafe' latte to you! deb

Gee, sounds like every body else but me is havin' all the fun! It's 80 again, here, today - no place to make angels or snow people. *sigh* - I guess I'll just pop another Rolling Rock and turn over to brown the other side . . . (yawn) maybe throw some shrimps on the Barbie later . . .
