WELL.....you guys got a great product there!!!! i did a window job today with the rollthat was sent to me free....and the least i can do is give back how it does....WONDERFUL, GREAT ,FANTASTIC....THIS IS GOOD S****!!!!! since i have been the bad mouther of oracal....i have to let the rest of the world know this is nice vinyl. i cut outa corel 7 to a roalnd pnc-1000 and it cuts with very little presure, cuts very clean, weeds perfectly, the stuff you want to lift comes up, the parts you want to leave, stay down. and the blue liner(glad you found a use for the 651, hehehehehehehehehehe) is so easy to see what your doin with white vinyl. it sticks where you put it, seperates from the tranfer paper with out weting it, and i think this stuff dont have any bubbles in it...hehehehehe. i will buy this vinyl in the future.....and am sold on a good product!

I have been using their series 5500 which is the reflective material. Nice stuff and very reasonably priced in comparison to the other brands available...

I can't comment on the quality of the product since I haven't used it yet, but I would like to say that I was really impressed with the quantity of material that was sent to me free. I'm still kind of just looking at this box in disbelief... Thanks.
I signed up for my Free Sample roll. It was ship out to myself and returned because of the wrong address.......
Not only did they E-Mail myself because of it they also contacted me by phone to sort the issue out!
Now that speaks loud in my Books.....
Finally got the sample and the first thing I tried was the Stretch Test. Blew me away on a small piece no bigger than 3"X3" stretched twice its size without snapping.
The colour faded as it was stretched but didn't turn pure white.
Well as you know a banner is about the worst thing for flexing (In the Wind) plus put up and take down also roll up and storing.
Thats were I used the sample material.
So far I am sure it's a Winner!!!!!!!!!
I like to become thier rep. here on the East Coast of Canada because I believe in their product.
Nice going Oracal..
Thanks for the mousepad as well....

I think I've tried registering: 1. at Orcals web-site 2. sent in one of the cards from a trade magizine and.... 3. maybe ever tried calling once (couldn't get through) Never got a sample to try.
I COMPLETLY forgot about it!!
Think I'll stick with 3M and Neschen, I've really never had any problems with either.
Hey OP, if they ever hire you as a spokesperson (you did do a very good job I might add), send me a sample of the stuff and I'll let ya know how it worked for me!

Mark, I was just like you, I went to the site, registered and after a while forgot about it. Then I responded to a couple of posts here stating that I didn't get my free sample (just venting) and I got a personal email from the main guy at Oracal. He got somebody on the stick, and my free sample roll arrived! I cut a small sample and it worked well, I'll probably try it on a larger job this week.
Oracal- thanks for the response, these days customer service will make or break you. The sample roll will not be the last Oracal product in my shop.

I heard about Oracal thru this board and the edgetalk board. I went to the website of Oracal and completed the information request. It has been several months and I have emailed them several times curious of a mix up. STILL NO RESPONSE! I received confirmation of order and order number as well. Thought about calling but the more I thought about it the more discouraged I became. We do a variety of products whether it be screen printed, digitally printed or just diecut and I requested pricing and info on all. No response. Hope everyone is enjoying the Oracal....I would just like to try it for the first time.

Thanks OP, I can't tell you how much that warms my heart!
And thanks everybody else too! BTW, if you haven't heard, we are giving away some really nice T-Shirts for photos of neat jobs done with 851 and we are also having an Oracal sign design contest with over $5000 of prizes. Check out our website for details on both.
Mark and Steve, I checked with marketing and they are going to make sure you get taken care of. Let me know if you haven't gotten your samples by the end of next week.
Happy New Year everybody!

David, You can go to the products section of our website and in the 851 area enter your zip code to find the nearest 851 stocking distributors (Ohio).
The difference is that 751 is a premium high performance calandared film, 2 mil, 7 year and 851 is a premium high performance cast film, 2 mil, 8 - 10 years. 851 is softer and more expensive.

This is to update the post on ORACAL 851... To ORACAL...I received my roll of 851 on a folder containing tons of info on your products. I really appreciate your extremely prompt response to may concern. I look forward to using it and exploring the packet for more products of interest. The 851 looks great...I would like to comment on the packaging. It is boxed very well...the bag is a great assest. But when you open the bag the clarity and smoothness of the vinyl is the utmost impressive and really shows ORACALS interest in supplying a great product. Thanks again, I will be back with results of my testing the product.

I'm probably way out on a limb I have no business being on, but I wanted to share this with you.
Many of you might not know that Ed Killian, who was a VP level marketing or sales exec at Gerber left them after 18 years and went to Oracal. Now, I'm a hardware salesman...different company altogether though related in a grand sense, and it is my opinion that many of us wouldn't be here today if it weren't for his efforts. I notice that there is a major, very major change in attitude toward the new Oracal-851 product and rightfully so, given that Ed Killian is doing his thing. Credit where it's due, folks, from one who is not entitled to an opinion. hk
