who has signlab e6 and what do you think. I have just aquired it two weeks ago because signlab no longer supports 5.63 I wanted some more functions for a second computer. I have found it looks like it has been designed by a child and has more problems than the old one ever had printing for example 5.63 was easy to use and stable but I can't say the same for the new version I am sure they put them out for us to find the bugs for them and charge us for the priveledge. the Icons do not make any sense and the functional layout is so different it will take weeks to learn

Are you sure about Cadlink not supporting version 5? That would be highly unusual for such a recent product.
Some of your concerns with E6 seem merely cosmetic such as the interface (like Xp, a little Fisher Price looking). It did take getting use to with some of the menu changes such as inline/outline etc. I will keep my chisel font collection and not use the chisel font function.
Buggy, I thought so too, but since my switch to a new machine and Xp, no crashes. Latest revision might have something to do with that to. Thermal printing is great though, no complaints there.

Ian, I've had E6 for some time. It does seem sort of "clunky" to get use to, but once I got accustomed to using it; I wouldn't go back to Signlab 5. It takes some getting use to but I'll bet you'll love it after the break-in period. It does crash occasionally, but so did 5 and 4.95 and 3.2. Hang in there, it gets better as time goes on. Happy New Year
P.S. I love the chisel font feature, but haven't gotten the thermal module yet!

I've been using it for about a year. I like it but sometimes it will "have a bad day" and crash for some mysterious reason; most of the time it works good. I had problems printing, welding and text composition at first. The tech department solved my problems. You may have to wait 24 hours for help.

I use it for with our Roland Soljet and it works great in that department. But it does want to crash every now and then. It was a little hard to convert to the new version but once I got use to it I dont want the older version back. Hopefully soon they will bring out the update that might fix the little bugs, but in the mean time I will live with it .
