Hi all,Well here's the story...
I wanted a simple no-brainer application to give customers a quick price on some vinyl letters or cut art. I never have had a consistant pricing system for these kinds of things. Well, nothing is out there for the amount I wanted to spend, $0.00. Soooo... I wrote my own.
This little app will price vinyl by the letter or by total square inches. And is very simple in function and form. Like I said, a real no-brainer.
So heres the deal...
My app is about 50% complete but is fully functional in the parts that are done. And the best part - it's freeware and will always be free to my fellow letterheads. I may not post here allot or be a paying member but I do read quite often. This is my way of giving something back to you folks that have been so helpful.
Anyway, if you would like to try my little program, I would really enjoy your feedback on whether this is something that I should continue to work on. And if so what improvements or additions would you like to see. Just remember, I'm a signpainter that knows a little about programming, so don't make any requests too complicated.
Also, some knowledge of your computer and how to create, copy and paste files and folders would be helpful at this point. like I said its not done yet.
If you want to try it, send me an email and i'll get it sent out to you. I will also send you updates as I do more work on it. I don't want to post this on the web somewhere just yet because it is intended for the sign person, not the general public.
Also, at this time I would appreciate if you are a vendor, that you not make requests for this software. It will be available to anyone that wants it in the future. Again its for the sign person in there shop.
Last thing. This app is free but it's still copyrighted stuff, so I hope nobody steals it.
Ok, I'm done now. Sorry for the long post.
I'll go back to stroking my brushes now.
Thanks
Oops! I forgot to say that I have tried this on Windows 95/98/98se and Win2000. So it should work just fine on WinME and WinNT as well.
