I was wondering if anyone has ever did a sorting of their clipart CD files and save to HardDrive the ones that they feel they would use and avoiding the 90 percent crap that they don't/won't use. I spend way too much time searching for choice characters that I "once saw" and sometimes never see again. It would take some time up front, but save a lot of time along with a lot of grief over the next years. I would start by circling the choice clips in all my catalogs, then set up a new "logical to me" cataloging system.
A little plug for Mike Jackson's Golden Era CDs.......They are fabulous, and I recieved all of them for Christmas. These you certainly wouldn't have to cull... cheers, Bronzeo of the internet

One thing I have done and continue to do when I have free time is fine tune my clipart catagories. I put every folder of every CD's contents under the one !clipart parent folder. I then will use the search for files and search for lets say, stars...Once I found all the star files from every CD I place them all into one new folder called stars....I do this each time Im looking for something specific...Im better organizing all my libraries. Its helped me work faster.

Hey Jack, I have run into the same problem. I was thinking about getting a usb hard drive for about $115.00, USB Hard Drive and loading it up with all of the cd's I have. As I am looking for something, I rename them anyways, so I figured I could just run a simple search, on that drive. Just an idea, hope to do it soon myself. Good Luck!! Brian

I have a folder called "Library" on my network with all my fonts and clipart in it. It's on our server's HD which is like the ocean, so that's no problem. I LOVE this situation.
As for sorting out the good clipart from the bad, I think it would be easier to copy them to a folder when you use them or see that you like them. Sitting and going through it all would be really daunting.
