I wish all of Letterville a prosperous and safe new year. Hoping that all will learn their craft the ol'fashioned way, from experience. Wishing that persons would learn from their mistakes rather then finding a quick answer that will be forgotten in time for the next project. Hopefully the sign god will terminate those who haven't a clue to what they have gotten themselves into when they chose this craft, only to find out all it takes is common sense and perseverance, right up until their bankrupcy.

I hope to bring some old world craftsmanship into my work this year & bought my first book of gold, & can of size today after going up into the mountains this morning & writing myself up a bunch of resolutions while perched on a rock outcropping next to a babbling stream. "New skills" found it's way near the top of the resolutions in my "biz" catagory, so I took the first step already.
Actually meeting with mayo & Deb in Illinois this month was also an inspiration to follow the letterhead tradition of "keeper of the craft". I can't help "keep" it untill I can learn it, but I got a good gold leaf lesson that day, & now I'm ready to practice, practice, practice.
