I am looking for the best way to open a clip art disk such as VectorArts Series, disks or comperable. Any help will be much appreciated. It always helps to know what others do with thier skills. Thanks.... Jack Wills

I have Graphix Advantage, I also have your new CD, I bought it thru Dave Simpson! the best way is to have it saved as a Gerber .plt file like Mike Jackson does on his CD's together with other file types, that way you can just place the file directly, you can also see a preview thumbnail before opening it. having said that I have so many Collections of art and other stuff on CD and most is either .ai or.eps file types and then its just a click or two on the import filter. I am sure you will get some tips on Omega here too, but you asked about GA. I believe in Omega you can open most file types directly into the software, much like Signlab that we have here as well.

I guess you know by now I work with Graphix Advantage too and mine is 6.2 (softselect).
Here is my question. If we don't have Omega, and only the Graphix Ad. 6.2, are the ai. and eps. files the only ones we have good luck with? It lists a few more on the conversion menu, and I wondered if you ever get results importing those also. I am very NEW to the computer world and am always looking to learn. I were to buy a clipart program, such as the ones mentioned above does the company tell you if it is ai. or eps. format friendly? (As I work on new projects, the manuals make more sense. I tried to read them before actually being faced with the situations and they are cumbersome to understand. I see that I love to jump right in to a project and learn from the ground up.) thanks, Deb
