I came in a few minutes ago to find a package from Bruce Deveau. Inside was a stunning multi-faceted gold leaf snowflake design on a black background. Before I read the accompanying letter, I imagined how much time, patience, and incredible talent went into this piece. Folks, he's upped the ante on us - time to pull out all the tricks! Thanks Bruce, I will treasure this.

Kimberly, Trust me, Bruce just tightened the screws on the rest of us. I wasn't sure if Terry wanted to wait and make a grand showing on all the panels at once, or if it's okay to post them as they come in. Terry?

Gee guys, I was thinking there would be some sort of grand unveiling post at the end of January. I wouldn't want to see anyone get too influenced by what someone else has done until they're all in.
Anyone else??

I was uploading the photo when I read Jeff's post and he makes a good point. I also have reservations about a 72 dpi photo of such a high-end panel. It just doesn't do it justice. One more consideration: I'm easily intimidated and it may not help my psyche to see what some of you with too much time on yer hands have created before mine gets in the mail. At least I finally learned how to insert a picture in the BB (you just won't be seeing it......)

Mine is just nearing completion, evry time I think I'm close, I find something I don't like and make changes. It should be done and gone in a couple of days or so. I really would rather not see any of the others until mine's gone. being in the company of such greats here, if I see others, I may not feel worthy. hehe. just my two pennies worth.

Sonny....72dpi will come out crisp and clean on a monitor...it is the printing end that requires higher resolution. However, you can upload a image that is larger in terms of pixels....which would take longer to load in a browser and cause a lot of people to have to scroll to see the whole image. Then, you can always take more than one photo, and include close ups.
Close ups are good. I think all of us like to see close up shots of cool effects.

Been in a bit of a post-holiday funk the last week or so. Till a few minutes ago when my dog chased a delivery guy into the bed of my truck. I saw the package and assumed it was the Khabibulin bobblehead I ordered off of e-bay. To my surprise and delight the return address was CT Woodcarver's Gallery. Joe Cieslowski got my name, that's like hitting the lottery. I met Joe at John Smith's meet and knew his work. I opened it as fast as I could and it is spectacular. Thank you Joe. And thank you Terry for getting this going. Now I have to get mine completed and sent.
