I'm trying to find the manufacturer of a cast bronze or aluminum prizmatic, am I spelling that right?, letter that is similar to Gemini's "Architectural" but bolder and deeper (thicker). A 3" letter appears to be about 3/4" thick. I also saw some similar ones that appear to be some kind of solid plastic that appear to be molded with nice sharp lines, unlike formed plastic. Does anyone know of these?

For custom sizes and letterstyles, we can (or you can) rout the letters out of signfoam with our carving option on the router and then have them metal coated by a company called Routech International. The letters look like cast metal.

What type of finish do you want? I had some aluminum letters cast a few years back. Primed them, put a few coats of enamel on them, applied oil size and gilded. They were beautiful. Then after a few winters rains, what's occuring is the age old problem of dissimilar metals and water. Yep, electrolisis. Thaught the five coats of paint would be a sufficient barrier.
Years ago Western Sign Supply (no longer in business) had the molds to cast some absolutely beautiful letters from a real dense polyesther. They gilded nicely and lasted forever. There is an outfit in San Franciscop that bought most of the molds, but are awkward to deal with.

I want an oxidized bronze finish or possibly brown anodized if they're aluminum. The plastic ones I was refering to would not be for the same job, but I would like to find those, too. The ones I've seen were pretty old so it's probably the company that's out of business. The bronze ones I saw on a fairly new sign in Balboa Park in San Diego.

All of the big casting companies - gemini, matthews, ark ramos, omc, have variations on prismatic letters. matthews will (or used to) actually cast to your spec but you need a large wallet. I would guess that all these companies have websites where you can go to look at their styles.
Another option you can consider is cast aluminum, which you can take to a top quality plating shop and have plated anyway you want them. But you still need to find the cast letter.
With respect to the dense foam letters referred to earlier, they are made in Arkansas. I actually tracked them down once. Alas, they sell to only one customer, the company in south San Francisco mentioned above. We have purchased from them without incident. If you want me to find the name, send an email and I will look it up.
