I've saved a few posts here lately as Text Only, but now I can't open them. I'm on a Mac, G4, OS 9.2.

I'd hoped to save them that way, thinking they'd open without me having to be on the web. Maybe all that is wrong...Mac users...Don Coplen...any suggestions? Best way to save for future reference?

Thanks! Mick

What makes people think I know these things? [Roll Eyes]

OK, maybe I know this one. Right click (or control click) on the page (not an image on the page, but off image...otherwise you'll save an image instead of the page)...and "save page as". This will save the page as the html, which you can later read or print out at your leasure. Note also that html pages are very small files...which is a good thing.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Don, but doesn't seem to save as HTML. I tried various spots throughout the post of yours and mine, but Control click brings up a drop down menu with options like internet Explorer Help, Back, Refresh page, open page in new window, Add page to favorites, Track page to auction, Open frame in new window, Set home page to frame, View Frame source....whew!

Doing something wrong?

Just re-looked under File in the menu, release on 'Save as' and 3 choices: Web, HTML text, and Plain text. Gonna try HTML and see if I can read it offline or not. Thanks for the reply. Anything come of that Mac user group...like I had posted...we could just note all Mac useres responding to that post of yours and keep e-mails in mind whenever we have a question or new toy, etc. to share. Then later start a chat group aat a certain time?! Thanks again....MIck

Mick,

Let me know how that works for you.

As far as the "Letterville Mac club"...I have 3 pages of names and email addy's. I need to input all that into a file I can send out to all of you...and just haven't had the time. I'll get to it eventually.
