I'd like to know how long Gerber Vision vinyl lasts for outdoor use. We have all seasons here, spring summer fall and of course WINTER. I know it's rated for 1 year
on paper. This will be applied vertically and printed and maybe clearcoated.
What have your experiences been with this product.
Gary.

Gary,

Are you asking how long the VINLY lasts or how long the PRINT will last on the vinyl?

The Print may last 2-3 years (4color) or 4 to 5 years on a solid spot print.... Point is if the vinyl lasts 8 years what good is it? It will still have to be replaced when the print fades away.

Think in terms of the print first, then match the vinyl to the print.

If your job has a mix of printed vinyl and solid color vinyl, then use better vinyl for the solid color letters and for the printed vinyl use what will work.

When the printed vinyl fails, then your customer will only have to replace the printed vinyl and the rest of the lettering will still be holding up fine!

Make sure you tell your customer what to expect in life of printed vinyl and warn him that it will take some careful attention and will need replaced and updated in 3 years.
