It hits every year at this time...don't misunderstand "I LOVE CHRISTMAS" but every year at this time I'm covered up with work and can't think too much about the ensuing season...Christmas shopping is always left, it seems to Patsee,(fortunately she loves it) somehow she gets it all done while I fight my way thru closing up all the jobs in the shop. Then almost like magic everything comes together and voila...time for Christmas.
I've always been one to do my shopping on the last one or two days ( helps me get in the spirit).
Sometimes we forget the "reason for the season" but that all comes back on the day it's actually here.
This year we feel really blessed, our new shop is finished, our friends are in good health, family is in tact...what more could you ask for?
Well I for one, would like to have a new sign for the shop...the way things are winding down I think I'll actually have time to have it ready for the New Year.
I'll be pretty busy from here on out so lest I should miss...MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!

I quit taking Christmas orders via my website on December 6th, any orders after that I made it VERY clear they would not be gotten to until after the first of the year! I had to do this to make sure I could actually fill the orders in time and allow for shipping, plus the fact I'm busy preparing to leave the country for the Holiday. All my Christmas orders have been paid for, produced and sent out already...whew! It's nice to have the work-related stress out of the way.
As far as Christmas shopping goes, it doesn't happen here, I just don't do it. All my family and friends agree, it's just too much to buy gifts for everyone. That really reduces the stress knowing everybody is on the same page. However, I have *made* a few small gifts - metal sculptures - a revolver for my dad, a golfer for my grandmother, and a snowman for my other grandma.. gotta finish those up today so I can get them shipped out in time.
No muss, no fuss, I'm ready for Christmas. Bring it on! I get to do what I do best this Holiday, lay on a beach!
