I had a guy in here yesterday whose wife had "washed off" his factory 4 X 4 decal and he wanted it replaced.
There were several places where the adhesive left behind was smudged up into ridges that were rock hard. It was like the adhesive had been baking in the sun for months.
How would you remove something like that?

Hiya Penny, I'd suggest Rapid Remover too, assuming it's adheasive. One question though. These ridges, are they close to the shape and size of the original decal? I've run into the situation where a vehicle I relettered was in an accident. The body shop finished the their work by clear coating over everything including a damaged decal. When I removed the damaged decal, there was a ridge left behind.
