Getting ready to do a 4' X 4'sign at a construction site. Will remain on site for about 6 mos to 1 year. It will be a Vinyl Lettered sign. What sign material do you recommend? All help and suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

Painted and finished properly MDO will work fine, also use a treated post to attach panel too. Rick

I know some will not use any corrugated plastic at all, but for this kind of short term application it is durable enough and inexpensive. All you do is tell the customer that they will need something to back it up, in most cases they will take care of that themselves. This is for signs that are simply there for information, if it is more elaborate, with logo, etc. I'd go with Rick's suggestion.

I have used half in. coro for out side signs hundreds of times, and as far as I'm concerned it holds up better than the so called new MDO. It will not peel, delaminate and vinyl sticks extremely well, I have no problem with it at all. Having said that, it should have some extra support when installed, like on posts.. but flat against the wall and it is just fine.

Just did a 3 1/2 x 8 foot sign for a job trailer at a construction site. Alumilite is the way to go. We used white alumilite with black vinyl. No painting, no edge prep to speak of. Took about an hour an half to produce. We also us a lot of MDO but these days the quality seems to have gone down. Not to mention the painting of the panel and sealing of the edges. Just my two cents.
