For the past seven years I've been getting banners from TLC in New Jersey, but lately they've been screwing up orders left and right. Mistakes are one thing; being dishonest about them is another. So I need a new banner company. My requirements are: an East Coast company with fast turnaround on orders for lettered banners, consistent service without obvious screw-ups, and honest answers.
I don't generally letter banners; I'm not set up for it and I don't intend to start. I prefer to order finished banners and mark them up to the customer. Until recently TLC has done really well, but three problems in two weeks has made me go looking for another supplier. Specifically, I've had two banners that were ordered for a specific event that were not delivered on time; the last straw was a banner ordered on Tuesday and needed for Friday for a weekend event. I called TLC on Friday at 1pm and was told it shipped Wednesday; when it did not arrive on Friday I had to make excuses to an angry customer. The banner arrived on Monday with a UPS Next Day Air label. Checking the tracking number revealed it had been picked up at TLC on Friday at 4:53 pm - so the reality was that the banner was shipped four hours AFTER I had been assured, by TLC, that it went out on Wednesday. Mistakes I can forgive. Being lied to, I can't.
So that's my rant du jour. I need a new supplier who can offer performance instead of bullschitt. Any suggestions will be welcomed.

I agree with Jack. Ameriban does great banners. I routinely order their Signtex banners. Great stuff.

Hey Cam - I have been very happy with Ameriban as well - they have never let me down on product or service. However, to my knowledge they don't letter banners. I would be happy to supply you with finished product with quick turnaround; although I'm not on the East coast. That being said, I am about 20 minutes from the Fed Ex hub in Memphis, as well as UPS at the airport. Let me know if I can help you with any future projects. Sincerely, Carl p.s. If you are not happy with my product or service then you owe me nothing. That's my guarantee I give all my customers.

Cam....I used to buy all my banners from Ameriban until last year when they screwed up an order. I had been happy with them, but realized that I needed a "back-up" banner supplier and tried Custom Banner. They are terrific folks. Very helpful when I call, way more colors, more types of materials and the quality is outstanding. Plus they will silkscreen, paint or dye, or apply vinyl on whatever you need. And......I believe they're one day away from you by UPS. Ameriban is now my backup, if I ever need one. Give Lillian a call @800-926-7643.

Who's "TLC"? I'm in Jersey & I never heard of them. What's wrong with US Banner? They're the Letterhead & Pinhead's biggest supporters. Nick has never let me down.
