Kudos to Chuck Davis and his article in the last issue of Sign Craft. I ran the Font Folder Fix utility and it really did the job.
Not only did it solve font issues as promised, Flexi 7 is running better (Windows ME) and it fixed some problems I was having with the Miter contol box when creating an outline or shadow. I guess this was font related too.
For a while everytime an outline was created I had to go in by hand and do way more cleanup than normal, sometimes manually re-create to make everything nicey, nice again.

Chuck has a bunch of great font utilities free font tools and stuff and he now has a online help chat going. Check the site out he has added a ton of new fonts too letterhead fonts

Man this post came at the right time as well, this morning I went to import a font out of Corel and found the " install font " command missing. Having remebered seeing that utility on the Chuck's site I quickly fixed it.

I used Ken's link to get to the site. Once there, I discovered a few other utilities as well as a number of free fonts. The "Font Folder Fixer" did what it was supposed to do, but the one I really liked was "The Font Thing" program. This is like an improved version of "Font Manager"
