Hi to all...

Does anyone know of any Corel workshops going on anywhere, where a person could kind of take a crash course in using Corel and PhotoPaint?

I have been a Corel user for about 5 years now, but have hardly scratched the surface with the Photopaint program. Also there are many aspects of the CorelDraw that I could stand to get a little deeper into. I'm basically an old painter type who has learned enough basics to get by in this computer world, but who realizes that even though I can use the computer, I sure could stand to be a whole lot faster. It takes me forever, sometimes, to get a sketch completed to my satisfaction. Also would like to stretch my abilities out there some more.

If there is a seminar or workshop out there, I'd like to find it. If none exists,I would be interested in joining one among Corel users around this BB. Maybe Corel Corp., has some whizes on their staff who could be petitioned, or otherwise persuaded, to address a bunch of letterheads on the finer points of using our programs ? Also been wondering how many Corel users are amongst us on this BB ? I'm still a newbe around here, and don't know if this subject has been approached before, so I hope this isn't too repetitious. Do other users like Signlab or Flexi ever have workshops ?

If nothing is available it would be neat to have a weekend somewhere where sign people could swap their computer knowledge for a few days. Have any pasts letterhead meets ever had a computer seminar mixed in with the painting thats going on, or is that just too much stuff to try to do in one weekend?

I'm grateful for all the information that gets exchanged around here, and I know that if I had a specific question about something I was trying to do in my program, then some folks would jump in and help, but what I'm hoping for is an excellerated learning session. [Smile]

Hi Jeff,

I consider myself a medium to advanced Corel user yet I'm always digging deeper and deeper into the program to see what else I can make it do. You arent to far from me so maybe I can set aside some time and have you down for a day. Who knows, maybe I'll learn something else new in the process.

I am interested in the same thing. I am a new Corel user and sometimes it is like it iskickin my A**. I have been keeping my eyes open for a seminar or something like that up here, no luck. We also use Signlab and the supplier we buy it from up here offers 3 different 2 hour crash
courses, very informative. But if anyone knows of a class or seminar for corel up here i am very interested.

Thanks,

JAKE

I purchased the set of CD's From click'n'learn and have been pretty happy with the content so far. They are great for effects and the like.

have a look at their web site click'n'learn

i believe that they are better than a seminar because you have them to keep!

Thank you Bob, for your very generous offer.I'd like that alot if you can spare the time...I'll e-mail you and we can figure something out. Maybe I can help you do something in exchange?

Miles has come up with a very interesting site. Those tips and tricks are exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for, so I guess I'll try out a video and see what they know. Thank you Miles.

http://groups.yahoo.com/search?query=coreldraw&submit=Search

Yahoo has groups that you can subscribe too-many being corel groups that give tips and tricks. If you are having a problem you can post (like here) or do a search and look for someone else that has posted the same question.
