I still have CorelDraw! ver. 8 and I went to windows XP. I am having a few problems and one really bothers me. If I am in Corel and I click "open" to open a clip-art from the Corel CD everything goes through the paces just fine until I find the piece I want. When I double click it to open it I get an error message saying it is an "invalid file format".........What??????? It is a Corel file, On a Corel DIsc!?!?!?!?!
Here is the rub. If I pop the CD in and wait for the "auto-run" and find my clipart that way, when I double click it it will open up in Corel, even if the program is not running, it will start it....
I went in and changed the "Compatibility Mode" to run in Windows 98 and still have the same problems.
I have several other problems but this one seems to get me the most. I know I should upgrade, but I am just starting to learn my way around and when I upgraded my Vinyl Express Master program it had changed so much I felt like I was learning a new program. Oh well, Any Help???? Thanks Troy

Troy, I'm using an older clipart CD and my Corel 9 forces me to use the import command. Probably because it uses filters to get non compatible files into the program. Jack

Troy........I sometimes have the same problem. I use Windows98 with Corel 7. I find that the "invalid file format" box comes up only with the first piece of clipart that I try to call up. My solution is to first click on a piece I don't need, let the box come up, close it, then click on the one I need. Works for me.........

Troy....Like Jack I always use the "import" function to bring Corel Clipart into a document.
