Would like to hear from the group what they consider their most useful/valuable training videos, artwork cd's, and books.
We have several really talented people working at Gemini Signs who would, I am sure, stretch their wings if we gave them the basics in training materials. I am sure there are ways to expand our ability to offer our clients more and better products.
The talents represented here are so diverse that it would be helpful to us and I am sure some others to know which books, cd's, videos, clip art collections, etc. you all find most valuable.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

It would be hard to list what reference material would be best for your employees each individual talents. It really depends on what each one's true talents and desires are.
the list you compiled in the Letterville bookshop is an awesome place to start and I would encourage them to attent a live meet this coming year. With the computer dominating this field I personally feel good design is the best thing you could teach any new sign person.
even if they are not interested in learning any old techniques I firmly beleive learning about the history of ones chosen feild is extremely beneficial.
To start my favorite and first book I bought was Mike Steven's book on Design.
After that it would be Gold leaf techniques by Kent Smith.
As far as clip art I can't help on that one I don't use much.

I was also going to recommend Mike Stevens "Mastering Layout". It was the most recommended book when I started. It explains the do's and don't s of good design, the perfect place to start.
