When exactly are the panels due? I want to know if I should be in the panic mode right now... as I am so intimidated by the name I got that I have severe designer's brain cramp and still can't come up with something 'worthy'!!
Bruce is hard at work with the prep work on his. I wish he had my name!

Randy, send pics of the completed panel to me.
Signcraft and Signs of the Times have expressed an interest in doing some sort of coverage of this. Tom from Signcraft gave me some specifics of what size/resolution is needed to publish but I have all that at home. I will post it later.
I have one picture of a completed panel. If anyone else is done, feel free to send in a picture. The sooner I have pics, the sooner I can begin to set up a webpage.

I am going to work on my panel this weekend, if I can get my workshop warm
I hope I can get it done before I have back surgery.
I like the fact that it is wide open with no design restrictions. When everyone was posting their likes/dislikes, etc. I did not post mine because I wanted whoever got my name to be completly free to do what they wanted creatively.
Can't wait to see the finished panels!!!

For a change I ignored my "Scarlett O'Hara Syndrome" and got to work on mine. Guess I'm lucky I'm not intimidated at all. I know my recipient and know that when they see my return address, they won't expect much! haha But I hope to fool them.
I am having a blast on it and so far so good. Terry, this was a great idea. Thanks for taking on the responsibility or heading up this thing.

Bump up. Cmon guys, weve all had ample time to get started on these panels. Its been over two months that we knew who our panel mate was. Although I waited until last week to start on mine, I am getting it done. Terry said in his email that some folks were maybe even considering dropping out. Thats ridiculous! At least do something. The person whose name you have will get nothing at all if you dont do it. So fire up your brushes, plotters, airbrushes, or whatever you are using , and get this thing done. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I'm not intimidated either, but, I am like Amy, wondering exactly which of the 100 things I want to do, since my person is going to be really a fun one! I am not good at tiny things, so I was wondering if I could send a 300 foot wall to them somehow. Fill in ten foot high letters, (lol). Please remember that I am not as much as an artiste as some of you in a lot of ways, but that is what is going to make it fun! There are beginners here and old timers, some with a brush and some that don't even do signage, striping, drawing or airbrushing, so come on and join in! Don't drop out! Have a sense of humor! Trace or stencil or whatever if you have too! Just add some love of letterville! BTW, anything that is sent to me can be simple, or whatever you want! my walls are bare, I just moved or never did my own artwork, so the sky is the limit! I like new stuff, old stuff, simple graphics, sceneries, line drawings, or just plain anything! Just have fun and do anything! Hey, for all of you that did write something about yourselves, could you please add a little more of specifics, if you only wrote a one liner? Such as some adjectives, maybe? If you like boating, what kind? or cycles, food or music group, or hobbies, a little more of which is your favorite? Not any of these may pertain to my person, but you get the drift, right?

I have been walking around with pretty much what I want to do with our panel but the phone keeps getting in the way. What a problem to have so lets say the next time it gets a little slow at our shop we start another one of these things so work gets in the way!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that anyone's thinking about dropping out. There may be some who do have good reasons for thinking about dropping out but I hope they take a careful look at their reasons and make sure that the real reason is not fear (of failure OR success) which is something that can hit any of us at the most unexpected times. Fear is only dangerous if ignored. So, take a deep seat, pull yer hat down & give it a whirl!! You've realy got nothing to lose & a whole lot of satisfaction to gain.
What about my panel?? Wellll, I'm makin' progress and should have it finished by Christmas or by the 1st of the year at the latest.

Blatant Bump-up. I was intimidated at first too. Finished mine over the thanksgiving long weekend. Did something I've never done before... after working hours ... and had fun. So far everyone who's seen it reacts with... cool, what the hell is that, how'd you do that, cool. So I guess I accomplished my task. I started early in case my brain fart ended up stinking too bad I would still have time to do something else ... there's still time.
Deb, I hope you got my name ... I could use 300 foot of wall
