I like making homemade things for some gifts. Each year I letter names on Christmas ornaments...or make colorful birdhouses. Some years when I had lots of free time I made sandblasted name or address signs. I would like some new ideas. Anybody have any ideas for Christmas gifts that won't take forever to make, but will be unique? thanks and Happy Holidays!Posts: 3729 | From: Seattle | Registered: Sep 1999

Hi Cheryl, here's a little gift a lady friend made for me last year. It's a paint roller cover that can be bought at the 99 cent store. The bottom is from a coaster, that can be found on any bar counter. She used a glue gun and glued all the little orniments to the bottom. The hat is made from an old sock, cut and the other piece was used as his scarf. beans were also glued to the roller cover. Some branches were stuck into the sides and hung more little orniments. The name was painted on (can't think of the name of tube) most craft stores have em. But I thought it was pretty creative of her to make that from a paint roller cover. Sorry but been having problems with my puter to upload. maybe you can post the picture I sent you? oh btw Happy Holidays

Think digital. Digital cameras and digital printers. I am making a poster for my son who has recently earned a commercial pilots license. Picture of him in the cockpit during a flight with his fist passanger(me)and the poem High Flight superimposed over it.
