I am relatively new to sign making. I do primarily traffic and directional outdoor signs with vinyl.

I am currently using SignMate Stika, with Corel Draw9, and have a small vinyl cutter, the StikaPlus (12").

I don't have all the concepts down yet, but was wondering if I could do better with any other software, and/or cutter. I sometimes encounter the problem of not having a large enough cutter to cut a sign in one operation, all though that is not a major concern.

any input would be appreciated.

You can't do any better on the software side of it than Corel 9 for layout and design but you might want to go up to a 24" or 30" cutter. You can buy a nice cutter for what most of the 'dedicated' sign making softwware programs cost and not realize any major benefits in a small production shop.

If you can't find the time to do it right,
where gonna find the time to do it over?
