Hey... is it just me or are other people having problems with the BB? If I post a reply, I can't see what I wrote when the post comes up again, until I go forward to the main list and choose it again... and even then I don't see the edited version until sometime later.
If its a post I read already and someone else replies, when I go to see the reply, it isn't there.
I did all the stuff that Barb said to do to the browser in that last post about problems.
Oh - and can someone explain again how to post the picture itself, not just the link to the picture? I did a search and tried it, but obviously I didn't do it right (I tried in Wayne Webb's pricing post).
It may be a problem, but I am not sure. It is working for the most part. The problem I am having trouble with is using the back button. It has been a problem to me for many months and I thought it was just my system. Deb

It posted right away this time. And for the most part, it has for me.
(just the back button is consistently aggravating.) Deb

I've experienced same problem when returning from new post & have since given up on continually clicking back button. If you notice when entering bullboard another browser window opens. After posting, click on X (usually in upper right corner of screen). This will take you back to Letterhead Home-Page. Then just restart Bullboard.

It's like this... when I come on the BB and lets say there were 3 replies to this post last time, and now it says there are 5...
When I choose to see this post, all I see are the original 3 that were posted the first time I read it.
So I scroll down to the bottom of the page, hit the GO button next to the GO TO box, go back to the list, rechoose the same post, then when it comes up it will show the additional posts. It does that to every post that we have viewed once before - it won't show the additional replies until you go thru those steps.
We are running Internet Explorer, tried resetting everything like Barb said on that last post about something not right and its still doing it.
Any suggestions?? Thanks!

This is very strange...I was experiencing the same thing as Dana on my computer at home. I am not experiencing it on my laptop here in Mexico. Both machines have the same version of Netscape installed from the same installation program that I had downloaded and saved. This would indicate to me that the problem might be with the actual ISP that we use. Maybe it has to do with having a proxy server. I remember that a while back I couldn't view head TV on Netscape when I was using a dialup connection, when I switched to another server to get DSL connection I could once again see Head TV. It had something to do with proxy servers caching pages I believe.

I think it has more to do with the individual's computer rather than the BB. When I see 3 posts when there should be 5, I just hit the refresh button. I think (and I could very well be mistaken) that what is in the original "string" is being stored as part of a temporary file on the computer as a way of speeding up what comes up on a web page. Hitting the refresh button appears to me to clear the temporary data and bring in the up to date data.

If it helps any...I just took all Netscape progs off of my computer. It was running slow and I had all kinds of goofy things going wrong. I thinned the herd (software downsize) and voila...high speed again...I do think that server traffic is congested as well. You could re-install the one prog that in the back of your mind...or your gut...you know might be hanging it up. Other than that I wouldn't know what to say, but see if Steve can offer some suggestions...he knows this website better than the rest of us. Could be something so simple, could be the site is overwhelmed.
