I'm looking for an antique look in lighting for a church sign that would be lighted from the top. I've seen pictures of rust/brown dome-type lights on a neck that bends in a radius up then back down toward the sign face . . . but I can't find anyone who carries something similar on the net or in the Phoenix area. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best way to do this is get a plumber/pipefitter to bend and thread pipes for the necks. The rest of the hardware and the shades can be bought at electrical/lighting supply stores. Then you have to assemble it all and paint them the colour(s) you want.

You might try your local electrical/commercial light supply. General Contractors are also full of lighting sources.

I see Chilis, chi-chi's, ruby tuesdays and applebees going in with these things all around place.

Yes, excellent ideas guys! I'll check out your suggestions.

And Mike, I too see this all over the place leading me to believe that someone's got a collection of "sign" lights out there.

OR . . . . hmmm - okay. . . "WHO WANTS ANTIQUE SIGN LIGHTS?"

Gee, I think I just added a new division! LOL

Thanks again!

Check out Lowes if you have one in your area I just did some signs for a 40's street theme and that where the lights came from...the hood's are not as big as Applebee's but they could work...

Thanks Dave,

I'd tried Home Base and didn't find anything that would work but I just got back from Home Depot and found a Malibu Walklight model LT2 that might work. I'm leaving off the pretty, little tulip glass ;-) and placing them from the top -- 4 across on angled lampholder flanges -- on a 4x8ish sized sign. They said I can use up to an 18watt bulb, not too bright (the light, that is) but it's a dark street . . . we'll see. Jeez, I just love that every job is different!! (I keep telling myself that everyday)

Thanks,
