well, we're having a blast cruizin around down unda! We had a blast at the meet. I can't tell you how awesome the Aussies are! If you have a chance to make it to a meet here don't hessitate to make the arrangements and go! after the meet Rhonda and I rented a car and headed west towards Adilaide ( spelling? ) we went through the edge of the outback, stopping at a few places to rest. we spent some time at Dan and Micks shop in the town of Waga Waga, Thanks go to Mick and his wife for letting us stay the night as we passed through. Dan Is an awesome airbrush artist and I had the pleasure of playing on some panels with him. we exchanged panels and a few tips. Dan did this awesome frog panel and I did my version of a firefly for him. Mick showed us his own specialty while we where there at his house, He has a huge collection of orchids that he grows and has even created his own types of orchids, Very cool! after we left Waga, we headed to Rod Tickle's place in Loxton. Rod was nice enough to give us the speed tour through the local sights before we left for a nice dinner out. after dinner Rod and I got to paint some panels till 2:30 am. Rod also showed me an actual redbacked spider hiding in the spare parts pile out behind his shop. Rod's shop is pretty cool with all sorts of custom panels hanging everywhere. Thanks to Rod and his family for their hospitality during our short visit! Next we headed for the coast to Adalaide. we where going to go to Kangaroo Island but the rental car wasn't allowed to go onto the island.Bummer! so we decided to head along the coast on the Princess highway. along the way we found some beautiful spots so eat and enjoy the beaches and local sights. we found a place that the Koala's are free ranging and we got to see them up close in the wild. we even saw a couple of them with their babies too! also we saw huge emu's, lizards, and we hand fed kangaroos' and wallaby's. next we headed further west along the coast, there we took a hellicopter ride along the coast and got some great photo's where the red earth meets the aqua sea! we then found a beach with a cave and did a little exploring there also. the next part of our trip was the city of Melbourn, what a cool city! there we toured the city on a horse and caraige. then we went to the top of the tallest building in the southern hemisphere and got a birds eye view of the city. we then spent the night in a wonderful bed and breakfast on Phillips island. there , we got to view the penguin parade, thats where a huge colony of fairy penguins 9 the smallest penguins in the world ) return each evening from feeding in the sea to they're burrows on the shore to feed their babies, that was pretty cool too! still heading along the coast towards Sydney. we have about 9 days left of our trip. well, thats it in a nutshell. see you soon! Mike

Sounds great...I was thinking of you guys just yesterday, wondering how the trip is going. Mike, glad to see that the trip is taking you away from those late nights working on panels...lol.
Can't wait to see the photos.
All the best,
Bruce
